INVESTIGATION OF MICROSTRUCTURAL AND HARDNESS CHANGES OF AA7075 ALLOY PROCESSED BY ECAP

چکیده

This study aims to examine the change in microstructural and hardness values AA7075 aluminum alloy, which is frequently preferred aviation industry by applying Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) method. ECAP method, one of plastic deformation methods, has been successfully carried out 0.025mm/sec pressing speed 200°C temperature for a different route (A, Bc, C) number passes (2, 4, 8). The characterization alloy obtained process was optical microscope (OM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron (SEM) analysis. Hardness tests have applied mechanical properties material. microstructures materials as result application were examined. It observed that precipitation occurred depending on temperature, pressing, grain breakage. Moreover, it seen size produced method reduced, consequently strength material increases. As process, existing phases ?-Al, ?-MgZn2, S-Al2CuMg, Al7Cu2Fe. 288.4 nm after 8 repeated using Bc smallest obtained.
